JSI Steel near Winamac is moving ahead with expansion plans, with some tax incentives from Pulaski County. A set of tax abatements for real and personal property was finalized by the county council last week.

The Pulaski County Council has begun the process of making two sites eligible for tax abatements. Council members approved preliminary resolutions Monday designating the JSI Steel property and a piece of land near the intersection of U.S. 421 and State Road 14 as economic revitalization areas.
A Pulaski County adventure park is drawing privacy concerns from some of its neighbors. McKenzie and John Forest live just north of Rugged Adventures, outside Winamac. Last week, they came to the county commissioners looking for help.
