The Town of Winamac is exploring its options when it comes to the removal of ash trees from the Town Park. One option proposed to the town council this week by Park Manager Dave DeLorenzo was to drop the trees and then allow the public to cut them up and remove the wood in exchange for a fee. The Town of Winamac is finalizing the funding arrangements for its share of the town’s community pool project. The town has already agreed to contribute $150,000. On Monday, Clerk-Treasurer Melanie Berger discussed the source of that funding with the town council.
