Formal charges are pending against an Ora man who fled from Pulaski County Sheriff’s Deputies on a 4-wheeler yesterday afternoon. The incident started around 4:30 p.m. in the area of 500 North west of U.S. 35 in Pulaski County when deputy tried to stop the ATV, driven by 43-year-old James Hurt of Ora. He took off and later crashed the 4-wheeler in the area of 100 West and 600 North in Pulaski County, where he took off on foot. Continue reading

K-9 Aids in Arrest of Unruly Nude Man
An unruly, naked man was taken to IU Health Starke Hospital for treatment and a mental evaluation after being arrested with help from Starke County Sheriff’s K-9 Terror. Officers responded just before 3 p.m. on Wednesday to a report of a naked man running around a yard in the 6000 north block of 900 East. K-9 Assisted Traffic Stop Leads to Two Arrests
A Wednesday traffic stop at the intersection of Lake and McGill Streets in downtown Knox ended with a trip to jail thanks to assistance from Starke County’s new K-9. A deputy pulled over a vehicle driven by David P. Howard, 31, because he was known not to have a valid driver’s license.
