Support Local Businesses This Saturday at the Starke County Holiday Market

The inaugural Starke County Holiday Market is taking place this Saturday. The Starke County Chamber of Commerce will be hosting these holiday shopping events on the first four Saturdays in December to give residents a chance to do their seasonal shopping locally.

Vendors can start setting up in the Knox Mall at 8 a.m. and individuals are responsible for bringing their own tables and chairs. The event will run from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. tomorrow and the initial prize drawing for the Shop Local Bingo game will be held around 1 p.m. Continue reading

Knox City Police Investigates Burglary at ALCO

The Knox City Police Department is investigating a burglary at the ALCO store in the Knox Mall.

According to police, on Tuesday, May 24th, officers were called to ALCO in reference to a burglary. Officers arrived on scene and found the glass in the south entry door broken out. The K9 unit was sent inside but no suspects were found in the store. Police found that a glass case containing video game systems was broken and game systems were stolen. When police reviewed the security tape, officers saw the suspect was wearing a ski mask, gloves and a hooded sweatshirt at the time of the incident and could not identify him. WKVI Food Drive Results are in; Pulaski County Food Pantry Report

The totals are in from this past weekend’s food drive at the Knox Mall.  WKVI collected $2167.73, and 1,469 pounds of food. Added to that total of food is 1,125 pounds from Boy Scout Pak #281 in North Judson for a total of 2,594 pounds of food.  A big thank you again from Joan Haugh and everyone at Community Services of Starke County who received the money and food for their food pantry.
