Mobile Food Pantry to Stop by Knox United Methodist Church this Friday

Nearly 13 percent of Northern Indiana residents suffer from food insecurity; that’s approximately 279,240 Hoosiers!

Such a startling statistic reflects that you may have neighbors, friends or family members who suffer silently as they wonder where their next meal will come from.

In order to assist those in need, the Food Bank of Northern Indiana will have their mobile food pantry at the Knox United Methodist Church this Friday. Continue reading

Community Cantata Choir Call Outs Coming Soon

Although the Community Cantata Choir won’t have their final performance until Christmastime, rehearsals will be underway soon. Event coordinators and program directors Nan Folkers and Brian Liechty are still working out this year’s theme and the schedule for official try-out dates and subsequent rehearsals. Wife of Knox United Methodist Church Pastor Passes Away

Following a valiant battle against cancer, Diane Squibb, 63, passed away yesterday.
Diane is the wife of Knox United Methodist Church Pastor Ray Squibb who has hosted the “Sunday Morning Day by Day” program for several years. Diane often accompanied her husband to the studio and occasionally was part of the program.

She worked at the Henry F. Schricker Library in Knox, until becoming too ill to fulfill her duties.

The Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel is in charge of the services.
