A month long investigation by the Knox Police Department into suspected drug activity ended with five arrests. Officers served a search warrant at 507 S. Final Work Scheduled on Klockner Drive Paving Project
The final pavement work through the Knox Industrial Park should wrap up in the next few weeks. The contractor for the industrial park road improvement project is back in Knox for the next couple of days placing asphalt on Klockner Drive/300 East, Culver Road, Pacific Avenue and Hamilton Drive. Knox Library Branch Closed for Parking Lot Paving
The Henry F. Schricker Public Library branch in Knox is closed today and tomorrow to accommodate the parking lot repair and expansion project. Rain on Tuesday postponed the project. Library officials say the contractors will be able to work more quickly and get the project done sooner if they are closed. WKVI Spearheads Community Clean-Up
WKVI is teaming up with former Knox Mayor Nancy Dembowski to clean up the community. Appropriately we are starting with the first thing everybody sees when the roll into town, the Train Depot visitor center across from Wythogan Park.

Judge Accepts Plea, Sentences Criminal Confinement Defendant
The Knox man who handcuffed and shackled his wife to their coffee table while wielding a knife was sentenced to 10 years in prison, despite the victim’s protest that his punishment is too harsh. Starke Circuit Judge Kim Hall accepted a plea from 37-year-old Benny Giselbach to charges of escape, criminal confinement and resisting arrest. Knox School Board Reaffirms Support for Programs
With the meeting room packed with parents, teachers, and band and athletic fans, the Knox School Board, late yesterday afternoon, assured those patrons it had no intent to “do away” with any particular extracurricular activity in its 2016 budget cutting efforts.
Social media had been reporting all day that budget support of certain programs was scheduled to be drastically reduced or completely removed from the schedule of activities at the scheduled work session.
