The Supreme Court declared in a 5-4 decision on Friday that same-sex couples have a right under the Fourteenth Amendment to the Constitution to wed. According to the syllabus from the majority opinion, same-sex couples must now have their marriages from neighboring state governments recognized by the state in which they currently reside.
The state of Indiana will be allowing those without a fishing license the opportunity to cast into public waterways.
Normally, anglers would need a license or a trout/salmon stamp in order to fish in Indiana. The state’s Free Fishing Day, however, will take place on Saturday. Indiana residents do not need a fishing license or a trout/salmon stamp to fish for the day.
The Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles will be changing their hours slightly, next week.
According to BMV Commissioner Kent Abernathy, branches located in counties with elections in May will extend their hours on Monday and Tuesday. The extended hours will allow the BMV to issue driver’s licenses and state ID cards that can be used for identification at polling sites.
