That’s why Starke County Coroner-elect Adam Gray has opted to wait on construction of space for his department. He told the county council last night he wants to take his time and make sure the county’s needs are met. One Person Killed in Marshall County Industrial Accident

A truck driver from Portage was killed yesterday while unloading a machine at a factory in Marshall County. Coroner Bill Clevenger says Alfonzo Hernandez, 54, was making a delivery to NICORR in Tippecanoe, south of Bourbon when the accident happened around 11:40 a.m. Hernandez was not an employee of the business. Clevenger adds drug and alcohol tests are standard when such an accident occurs. Those test results are pending.
