A Francesville man has been found guilty of battering a 19-month-old child in 2019. Pulaski County Prosecutor Kelly Gaumer says a jury convicted Coltyn M. Toosley last week on felony counts of neglect of a dependent resulting in serious bodily injury and domestic battery resulting in bodily injury on a child under 14.

LaPorte County Police have announced a murder charge, in connection with an ongoing child death investigation. As previously reported, sheriff’s deputies say they got a call of an unconscious child at a home in the 3100 block of East County Road 875 South early Monday morning. The child, later identified as four-year-old Judah Morgan, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A Knox woman has been charged with felony neglect of a dependent, after allegedly failing to send her daughter to school for several months. A probable cause affidavit says Deanna D. Fultz notified Knox Middle School last November that her daughter would have “irregular daily attendance” due to an illness.
