The North Judson-San Pierre School Board will consider a number of budget-related resolutions tonight. The 2022 capital projects and bus replacement plans will be up for adoption, along with a reduction to the advertised budget. The budget adoption itself is up to the Starke County Council, since North Judson-San Pierre has an appointed school board.

Superintendent Dr. Annette Zupin said the corporation’s crisis plan is similar those used by other schools. “It does have resources available in it, roles, responsibility, who’s responsible for different situations, and recommended protocols,” she explained.

Rather than getting three new full-size buses as originally planned, the school board agreed Tuesday to let the corporation buy one full-size bus and two multipurpose vehicles, instead.
