The North Judson-San Pierre School Board will consider a number of budget-related resolutions tonight. The 2022 capital projects and bus replacement plans will be up for adoption, along with a reduction to the advertised budget. The budget adoption itself is up to the Starke County Council, since North Judson-San Pierre has an appointed school board.

The North Judson-San Pierre School Board finalized a number of annual plans last month. Superintendent Dr. Annette Zupin said the corporation’s crisis plan is similar those used by other schools. “It does have resources available in it, roles, responsibility, who’s responsible for different situations, and recommended protocols,” she explained.

A capital projects summary was given to North Judson-San Pierre School Board members when they met last Tuesday.
NJ-SP School officials worked with the architecture and engineering firm Fanning Howey with these capital projects. Company representative William Payne provided members with the project summary and noted that everything was accomplished without going over budget.

North Judson-San Pierre Superintendent Delivers Capital Project Update
Projects at the North Judson-San Pierre Schools are coming along nicely, according to Superintendent Dr. Annette Zupin.
During the superintendent’s report Tuesday night, Dr. Zupin shared some of the progress that’s been made thus far. She said that lighting work is nearly complete, with the company pulling some of their workers at this point. The only areas that still need to be finished are the atrium and auditorium. Preliminary Work on North Judson-San Pierre Capital Projects to Start Soon
Preliminary work will soon begin on a series of capital projects at North Judson-San Pierre, according to Superintendent Dr. Annette Zupin.
At the February NJSP school board meeting, members approved contractors for approximately $4.2 million worth of projects. They also learned that since the entire Lease Project came in under budget, a few alternates can be tackled as well, including the addition of a digital sign on Highway 10. Continue reading
