At Monday night’s North Judson Town Council meeting, Town Marshal Kelly Fisher highlighted some of the ways that the police department stays involved with the school corporation.
She told the members that she and Officer Rico Simpson recently assisted with a drill at the North Judson-San Pierre Schools.
Fisher explained, “I was very impressed, especially with the high school kids. We went into the school and if I didn’t know any better, I wouldn’t think that there was staff or students or anybody anywhere in the school.” Continue reading
North Judson-San Pierre Program in Place to Assist Student Achievement
A program implemented this school year allows 7th and 8th grade students at North Judson-San Pierre more time to study the subjects of language-arts and math. The 7th and 8th Grade Academy is approximately 70 minutes of Math and 70 minutes of English class daily. The students sit through the length of a regular class session and then an additional 20-25 minutes is allotted for teachers to engage with students in more detail. Continue reading
North Judson-San Pierre School Board Meets Tonight
The North Judson-San Pierre School Board will vote on bids for the approval of tax anticipation warrants tonight. This is done every year to get the school through the end of December in terms of finances. Continue reading
