The Town of North Judson is looking into the addition of a new community center. Resident Bill Crase brought up the possibility of getting grant funding for a new community center during Monday’s town council meeting. He was previously involved in getting a grant for the town’s volunteer fire department. The town of North Judson is already taking most of the risk control measures recommended by their insurance company. That list includes annual employee motor vehicle road reviews, performing a documented fire safety inspection at all county-owned buildings and documenting all sewer maintenance. The North Judson Police Department once again has four patrol vehicles in its fleet. The town recently purchased two 2014 ½ Dodge Chargers to replace a 2011 Ford Crown Victoria and a 2013 Charger that were destroyed in a fire last October. Continue reading →

The North Judson Town Council reorganized and made some additional appointments when it met Monday for the first time in 2016. Wendy Hoppe has once again been selected to serve as council president. She will also remain the council’s representative on the Starke County Economic Development Foundation Board of Directors.
