A brief synopsis of last weekend’s Mint Festival was given during Monday night’s North Judson Town Council meeting.
Event Organizer Donna Henry said though the weekend was pretty toasty, the festival was a success and there were no mishaps.
She took some time to thank the council, Town Superintendent Marshall Horstmann, Town Marshal Kelly Fisher and the officers with NJPD for their help with preparing, setting up and patrolling the event. Continue reading
Some troublesome trees and stumps have been removed in the Town of North Judson.
Over the past few months, North Judson Town Council members received a few complaints about an abundance of stumps in the town’s cemeteries and some trees that were potential safety hazards. Continue reading
North Judson Town Council members will be looking into alternative holiday decoration options after there was collective council dissatisfaction and a few citizen complaints about how lights and decorations were handled in 2017.
As a portion of his report, Clerk-Treasurer Andrew Rowe presented a purchase order from HAP Industries for $5,796 for their decoration assistance last year. Though the members voted to pay the P.O., Councilman John Rowe suggested revisiting the deal with HAP and potentially purchasing decorations rather than renting them. Continue reading
