The Town of Culver is finally ready to put permit applications online.
Town Council members received an update Tuesday night after a meeting last week between Town Management and the Marshall County Planning and Building Office. Neighboring communities in Marshall County have been using an online permit system for almost one year to improve efficiency for contractors and local residents.
Pulaski County is making a more concerted effort to put publicly available documents online.
It took two tries, but Pulaski County is hoping to make their board discussions easier to access online.
Audio recordings of all Pulaski County Commissioners, Council, and Joint Session meetings in 2016 were published to the county’s website on Tuesday. In previous conversations, the County Commissioners said they wanted to increase transparency and allow the public an opportunity to hear their proceedings without physically attending the courthouse on a typical Monday evening.
Plans are currently in the works to help ease the process for gaining a building permit in the Town of Culver.
