The Oregon-Davis School Board will meet in special session tonight to approve a teacher contract for the current school year. That’s one of the items on the agenda for the 6 p.m. meeting at the administration building. Members will also discuss Hoosier Funds and consider a request to move the December board meeting from the 12th to the 19th at 6:30 p.m.

On Monday, the school board approved an implementation plan for the “seclusion and restraint” policy it recently adopted. Bruce Hirschy, a Social Studies instructor at the O-D School, has announced his retirement. During his 19 years at the school he also coached basketball and cross country. Assistant Girls Varsity Basketball coach Wesley Radtke was on the list of resignations and non-renewals. He will continue to teach but will no longer coach girls basketball. Continue reading
