Winamac Police Chief Mike Buchanan asked the Winamac Town Board this week for permission to hold a training session at Arens Field.
Buchanan explained that the air strip would be used to train the town officers in emergency vehicle operations. The board granted the request.
The members of the Winamac Town Board heard a report from Police Chief Mike Buchanan Monday night that they are working on a few burglary calls within the town limits. The Police Department is working with the Indiana State Police Crime Lab officers in gathering evidence in the cases.
The Winamac Town Board heard from Park Superintendent Rick Dilts who reported that the clean-up at the Town Park is almost complete. A suspected juvenile printed graffiti on the park property and the graffiti included harsh words against a certain student. A vandalism report was made with the Winamac Police Department and if anyone knows anything about this incident, call the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department at 946-6655.
