An Illinois man was arrested after Hamlet Police say they found drugs during a traffic stop last week. It happened last Wednesday around 9:15 p.m. on Old U.S. 30, according to a probable cause affidavit.

Four people were arrested, after LaPorte County Police say officers found “a significant amount of illegal drugs” in a stolen box truck Sunday. Around 1:30 p.m., sheriff’s deputies say they got a report of a stolen vehicle and eventually pulled it over on U.S. 20 east of Fail Road.

A wanted Chicago man faces the possibility of additional charges, after allegedly leading police on a chase from LaPorte to Burns Harbor Saturday. It began when LaPorte City Police tried to pull over a vehicle driven by Thomas L. Baskin, 37, according to the LaPorte County Sheriff’s Office.
