Republican State Representative Tom Dermody of LaPorte has been appointed chairman of the Public Policy Committee. House Speaker Brian Bosma (R-Indianapolis) made the announcement Wednesday.

Dermody explained that the committee covers all of the pertinent items in the legislature.
