Pulaski County Looks to Enhance IT Recommendations for Technology Billing

Pulaski County CourthousePulaski County continues its overview of certain technology operations at its facilities.

During Tuesday night’s County Commissioner’s meeting, a hurdle in that process was addressed. Pulaski County’s internet service operates under an umbrella overseen by the IT department, but decisions about bills from the service provider were disallowed from being scrutinized for future recommendation by the IT department under agreement.

Pulaski County Working Toward Electronic Signatures for Legal Documents

Pulaski County CourthouseThe Pulaski County government is working to bring additional technology into use for signing documents in a timely manner.

An initial request came from Circuit Court Judge Michael Shurn for the Pulaski County Commissioners to consider approving a request for the purchase of such technology. Research started after an incident was reported where someone was out of the office whose signature was necessary on certain legal documents.

Pulaski County CourthousePulaski County intends to hold-off funding a proposed courthouse renovation until some new perspective can be gained.

During a joint session of the County Commissioners and County Council, the project – which has been in the planning stages for the past three years – was discussed with the intent of providing more substantive direction.

County Home Zoning Changed After Multiple Discussions

The Pleasant View Rest Home has a new zoning designation.

Tuesday night the Winamac Plan Commission held their third meeting discussing the property and how changing the zoning designation may affect its future. The Pleasant View Rest Home ceased operations last year and was put up for sale by the Pulaski County government as a result. Until this week, it carried an Industrial Zoning label which made a sale difficult given the possible future uses of the building.

Pulaski Commissioners Show Support for Federal PMH Financing

 
 

The Pulaski County Commissioners have provided a letter of support for a project upgrading Pulaski Memorial Hospital.

Officials have already sought special financing from the county to help pay for certain upgrades in the form of a storage facility and upgrades to the parking lot. This is only one part of the project, according to discussion during Monday night’s Commissioner’s meeting.
