Hamlet Zoning Board Selects Demolition Contractor for 503 S. Starke Street

The Hamlet Zoning Board has chosen a demolition contractor for 503 South Starke Street. During a special meeting Wednesday, board members hired JD Excavating to remove the house, unless the owners complete the demolition themselves by September 9. The company submitted the lower of two bids at $6,800.

Hamlet Zoning Board Orders Demolition or Sale of 503 S. Starke Street

The Hamlet Zoning Board has given the owners of 503 South Starke Street 30 days to either demolish the house or sell it. The structure has been cited for unsafe building violations, but town officials say it still hasn’t been brought into compliance.
