The Culver Community Schools Corporation served 3,710 lunches and 1,836 breakfasts over the summer, as part of the Summer Food Service Program. Winamac Park Board to Discuss Finances, Member Compensation
The Winamac Park Board will continue its discussion of the 2017 park and recreation budget this evening. During a budget work session last week, Town Attorney Justin Schramm discussed the possibility of a special tax for park facilities, as well as a Rainy Day Fund. City of Knox to Receive Funds from State Accounting Error
A state error that was announced earlier in the month could provide funds coming back to the City of Knox. Clerk-Treasurer Jeff Houston said last week that a revelation in December found that the state didn’t account for some $320 million in corporate taxes. That triggered an internal audit that resulted in a discovery of a needed distribution to cities, towns and counties of $206 million.
