The Pulaski County Advisory Plan Commission will continue working on updates to the county’s wind turbine regulations tonight. The goal is to come up with a list of proposed changes to the county’s Unified Development Ordinance, to address concerns over a proposed wind farm. But after multiple meetings, the plan commission still hasn’t created anything solid enough to present for a public hearing.

A wind energy developer discussed its plans for Pulaski County operations with local officials Tuesday. Among those was Francesville Clerk-Treasurer Linda Bennett. “Well, it was a little over two hours,” she says. “There were a lot of questions asked, a lot of answers given. Of course, you don’t know exactly. I mean, you would hope that they are being truthful with you.”
Pulaski County to Hire Attorney to Help Update Wind Turbine Regulations
The Pulaski County Commissioners have agreed to hire an outside attorney to help update the county’s wind turbine regulations, but not before discussing the issue with residents for over an hour Monday. The extra legal help was recommended by County Attorney Kevin Tankersley and Community Development Commission Executive Director Nathan Origer.
Pulaski County, Francesville Officials to Meet with Wind Energy Developer
Pulaski County and Francesville officials will meet with the developer of a proposed wind farm next week. In a Facebook post Thursday, county officials said representatives from RES Americas will meet with several elected and appointed officials from the town and county this coming Tuesday.
