The Knox Community School Board members received an update on School Messenger during their meeting Monday night.

Superintendent A.J. Gappa said anyone can sign up to receive emails, text messages or automated calls from the system. School Messenger is the system the corporation uses to alert patrons about school delays, a closure or any emergency situation that may arise.

Knox Community Schools to Implement School Messenger Program

The Knox Community School Corporation will soon be implementing a new program that will enhance communications between the three schools, parents, guardians and patrons.

School Messenger will be utilized to help get the message out to subscribed patrons about important school events such as closings or delays or school emergencies. Superintendent A.J. Gappa explained that a mass text message will be sent out on Monday, Jan. 14.

North Judson-San Pierre Schools Utilizing School Messenger Program

While Knox Community Schools are gearing up to implement the new School Messenger system, North Judson-San Pierre Schools Superintendent Lynn Johnson said their school has already made use of the program.

Johnson said the program allows the school to stay in contact with parents and inform them of anything going on with the school.
