The Oregon-Davis School Board has renewed its agreement for snow removal services. Green Grass will once again handle snow removal in the schools’ parking lots during the 2019-2020 school year. Superintendent Dr. Don Harman says there are no changes from last year’s agreement. O-D paid Green Grass $475 per visit.

Now that winter weather’s here, the Oregon-Davis School Board has approved an agreement for snow removal in the schools’ parking lots. “Through taking bids and interest and talking to some of our school board members, Green Grass, which is based out of Mishawaka and also Walkerton, we do have an agreement with them to plow our snow,” Superintendent Dr. Don Harman told board members last week. EMA Director Explains Why Plows Are Taken Off Roads
With recent announcements from county highway departments indicating that plow trucks were taken off the roads at a certain time, many people were left wondering why the road clearing operations are sometimes stopped in their tracks during a snowstorm, when they are most in need. According to Starke County EMA Director Ted Bombagetti, there is a reason for that, and state law plays a part.
