A road at the south end of the Knox City Limits has a new name. Last summer the city used Community Crossings grant money to connect 150 South between Roosevelt Road and South Heaton Street. During a dedication ceremony yesterday, Mayor Dennis Estok told the crowd of veterans, family members and city officials the former county road needed a new name. Continue reading
Knox Officials Schedule Veterans Parkway Road Dedication
The City of Knox is celebrating Memorial Day by officially renaming a road in honor of service members. Mayor Dennis Estok says members of the VFW and American Legion will take part in Monday’s dedication ceremony for Veterans Parkway. Continue reading
Knox Council Renames 150 South
The Knox City Council last night unanimously approved a name recommendation for 150 South. It’s the street that runs between Roosevelt Road and South Heaton Street past the Knox bus barn. The city recently used Community Crossings grant money from the state to connect the two ends. Continue reading
