Mediacom has announced plans make a billion dollars in capital investments over the next three years. As part of the initiative, the company says it will upgrade its broadband services to one gigabit per second for nearly all its home and business customers. Superintendent Lynn Johnson said the move will be big for students and for visitors to the school. The board is currently seeking quotes for the upgrade.
