Funding arrangements for upgrades to Arens Field are back in place, following action by the Pulaski County Council last week. The airport is in the process of getting more than $200,000 worth of improvements. Pulaski County only has to pay five percent of the cost, since the rest will be covered in state and federal grants. However, much of the local match was apparently cut from this year’s budget.
Winamac Town Council Seeking Member for Planning Commission
Winamac Town Council members voted unanimously to appoint JoLynn Johnston to the open Winamac Economic Development Committee seat when they met Monday night.
Additionally, members discussed the open democratic seat that’s still available on the Winamac Planning Commission.
Clerk-Treasurer Melanie Berger mentioned that the position is not limited to those who live within the town limits, all Pulaski County residents are eligible to apply. Continue reading

Pulaski County Council Makes Commission Appointments, Elects Officers
The Pulaski County Council’s leadership will stay the same for another year. Jay Sullivan was reelected council president for 2018, while Mike Tiede was reelected vice-president.
