Winamac Park Board Gets to Work on Five-Year Plan

Work is now underway to develop a five-year plan for Winamac’s park and recreation facilities. Katie Bierrum, who’s putting the comprehensive plan together as part of her coursework at Purdue University, discussed the plan with the Winamac Park Board Thursday. As part of the process, she’s gathering information about the park facilities, and is also asking board members what direction they want to see the facilities take in the future. Continue reading

The Winamac Park Board has begun the process of putting together a five-year comprehensive plan for the town’s park and recreation facilities. The Winamac Park Board is expected to finalize a few of the policies for board members, when it meets this evening. Based on discussion at the board’s previous meeting, board members will be presented with policies regarding the disclosure of potential nepotism and conflicts of interest. Winamac Park Board to Consider Funding Agreement for Pool Project

The Winamac Park Board will meet in special session this evening to consider an agreement that would allow the board to take control of the town’s swimming pool rebuilding project. A committee of volunteers has been raising money for the project over the past several months, with the donations going into a fund at the Community Foundation of Pulaski County.
