The Town of Winamac has issued a Freeze Warning for its water and sewer customers. The water and wastewater departments ask customers to let the water run in a stream the size of a toothpick from a faucet inside their home or business. Customers should continue to let their water run until the town announces an end to the Freeze Warning, even if the temperature rises above freezing.

The Winamac Park Department is getting an equipment upgrade. The park board Thursday approved the purchase of a new lawnmower from GreenMark Equipment for a cost of $11,230. It will replace a 2012 mower with nearly 2,000 hours, according to Park Manager Dave DeLorenzo.
