Work is underway on Winamac’s new splash pad. Town Manager Brad Zellers told the town council Monday that the permit has been received. “It’s moving forward,” he said. “If I’m not mistaken, it looked like most of the features are there today that’ll be in the splash pad. . . . So it’s exciting.”

Winamac Water Department Superintendent Discusses Wellhead Protection with Town Council
A quote for a wellhead protection plan was presented to Winamac Town Council members when they met on Monday.
Water Department Superintendent Jeremy Beckner told members that the quote was from Peerless Midwest and it was for $26,250.
He explained that a wellhead protection plan is something that the Indiana Department of Environmental Management requires. Continue reading
Winamac Town Council Approved Truck Purchase for Water Department
The Winamac Water Department will be getting a new truck after town council members approved one of the quotes presented to them during their Monday evening meeting.
Water Department Superintendent Jeremy Beckner presented the quotes. Council President Tom Murray asked for the year of the current vehicle and Beckner answered that it is a 2005. Town Manager Brad Zellers mentioned that it is in the department’s 5-year plan to replace the truck this year. Continue reading
