Oregon-Davis woodworking students have created a memorial of sorts to a longtime pillar of the local community. Following the death of Richard Jensen, his wife donated a lot of the wood that he’d collected to the high school. Over the past few months, students have taken some of those wood pieces and assembled them into a table lamp, which they plan to present to Mrs. Jensen.
Oregon-Davis School Board Accepts Woodworking Tools from Knox Community School Corporation
The Oregon-Davis School Corporation’s wood shop class is getting some additional equipment. The school board voted Monday to accept a donation of woodworking tools from the Knox Community School Corporation, at the recommendation of Superintendent Dr. Don Harman. “It’s just going to help our woods program as it’s expanded under Mr. Henigsmith’s leadership,” Harman said. “So again, this is a great partnership, if you will, that the two corporations are working together.”

North Judson-San Pierre to Host 2nd Annual Blue Jay Show Case Tomorrow, Residents Invited to Share Their Stories
North Judson-San Pierre will be hosting the second annual Blue Jay Showcase during Friday night’s girls’ basketball game versus Triton at the Jr/Sr High School.
Superintendent Dr. Annette Zupin invites all community members to come out and see the various things that NJSP students have been working on this year.
“It’s an opportunity for our students and teachers to display or demonstrate student work and programs.” Zupin explained, “So in the cafeteria, during the ball game, we will have just a variety of student work and programs.” Continue reading
