Starke County 4-H Fair Begins Tomorrow!

The annual Starke County 4-H Fair begins tomorrow (Saturday, June 22)!

4-H participants will be entering several projects Saturday while the open class exhibit entries will be accepted from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., with the exception of flowers, foods, food preservation and garden items.

More project entries will take place Sunday, June 23 with the Lions Club breakfast from 7 a.m. to noon CT.

Monday’s activities include the open class entries for foods, food preservation, garden and flowers from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., the open class bake sale at 5 p.m., the Starke County Firefighter Association educational event with the Washington Township Fire Department from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., the K9 demonstration at 6 p.m., the 4-H Club parade Monday at 6 p.m., and opening ceremonies at 6:15 p.m, with the 4-H volunteer recognition, Fair Board Scholarship, 10-year member recognition, Junior Leader Scholarship and 4-H Junior Leader Achievement Royalty.

The pig scramble is at 7:30 p.m. CT Monday, June 24 and the donut eating contest is Monday at 8 p.m.

Enjoy viewing the projects the 4-H participants have worked hard to present for judging and showcasing at the fair in the exhibit buildings.

WKVI will be broadcasting live every day at the fair from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. CT.

The Starke County 4-H Fair continues through Saturday, June 29 at the Starke County 4-H Fairgrounds in Hamlet.
