A Starke County Republican Caucus to fill a seat left vacant on the North Judson Town Council is set for Monday, July 1 at 5:30 p.m. CT at the North Judson-Wayne Township Public Library.
The seat was left vacant by James Young who announced his resignation from the North Judson Town Council June 3.
Eligible Republicans interested in filling the remainder of the term (December 31, 2027) have until Friday, June 28 at noon CT to file intent in the Starke County Clerk’s Office.
While the Caucus is open to the public, three eligible precinct committeemen will vote in the new candidate.
