Starke County Election Board Approves General Election Ballot

The Starke County Election Board members approved the ballot for the November General Election during their meeting Thursday, September 12. They checked the spelling of the candidates’ names prior to the building of the ballot to be programmed on the voting machines and in preparation for mail-in absentee ballots.

A sample ballot, along with early voting and Election Day voting information, can be found on the Election Central page on this website. Specific precinct ballot information can be obtained by calling the Starke County Clerk’s Office at 574-772-9160.

The public test of voting machines will be Tuesday, October 1 at 2 p.m. CT on the second floor of the Starke County Courthouse. All members of the community who would like to witness testing of the voting machines or have questions about the process of voting are welcome to attend.

The last day to register to vote or to transfer voter registration information for the November General Election is Monday, October 7 by the end of the business day at the Starke County Clerk’s Office (4 p.m. CT), or by midnight if the process is completed online at www.indianavoters.com.

All candidates are reminded to turn in campaign finance reports Wednesday, October 18 by noon CT in the Starke County Clerk’s Office.
