The Knox Community School Board heard a report from the school’s appointed Library Board member, Claude Slisher, during the Board’s regular meeting Monday night.
“He wanted to approach the School Board to see if in the future, they might be able to work together if they both do some projects,” explained Superintendent A.J. Gappa. “The Library Board is looking to change their parking lot scheme and the Knox school is looking at possible renovations to the old wing of the Palmer building which is approaching 60 years in age. I think the Board was very receptive of his presentation and they were able to thank him in person for serving eight years [on the Library Board].”
Slisher also announced that he will not be seeking another term on the Library Board. If any person living in the Knox school district is interested in serving on the Library Board, you may submit your name to the Superintendent’s office. The Board will make an appointment in January.
