Officers from the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department arrested a Francesville man after a pursuit incident on Friday, August 5th.
Officers were traveling westbound on 900 South approaching 1400 West when a police unit from Monticello and another from Monon passed in front of them at a high rate of speed. Police learned that the units were in pursuit of a wanted person the Pulaski County officers were attempting to locate earlier that evening and they joined in the pursuit.
The pursuit ended at a residence near the intersection of 900 S. and 1200 W. The suspect, Randall Grigsby, was laying on the ground in front of his vehicle. He had attempted to flee the vehicle on foot but was apprehended by the police K9, Marco. Grigsby was reportedly verbally abusive to the officers and resisted police commands. Police deployed a tazer and the suspect complied to officers commands. He was taken to the hospital for injuries received in the incident and once medically cleared, was incarcerated in the Pulaski County Jail.
Grigsby has preliminary charges of Resisting Law Enforcement and Disorderly Conduct. He had a bench warrant for charges of Battery resulting in Injury to a Pregnant Woman, Strangulation and Domestic Battery.
