Myrtle Beem was recently sentenced in Starke Circuit Court.
She was sentenced to serve six years in the Indiana Department of Corrections on one count of Dealing in Methamphetamine as a Class B Felony. Four years of that sentence was suspended. Upon completion of her sentence, Beem will be placed on probation for four years and she shall complete a drug evaluation program and follow any recommended treatment as approved by the probation department.
She was given 81 days credit for time served in the Starke County Jail.
Beem was arrested on May 17th, 2011 after police conducted a search warrant at 9792 E. 150 N. in Grovertown where they found methamphetamine, precursors to manufacture methamphetamine, controlled substances, legend drugs and drug paraphernalia.
Beem had initial charges of Dealing Methamphetamine, Possession of Precursors to Manufacture Methamphetamine, Possession of Controlled Substances, Possession of Legend Drugs and Possession of Paraphernalia.
