Four Arrested after Alleged Stabbing Incident

Four people were arrested after an alleged stabbing incident in Medaryville.

On March 6th, Pulaski County police were called to the Marathon Gas Station where Lori Schultz told police that Clifford Cole reportedly “went crazy”. While in the driveway outside her house, Cole pulled a knife out and threatened her, Edward Schroeder, Jessica Sturgell and Curtis Luedtke. At some point, Cole and Schroeder got into a struggle over the knife and both were injured in the mishap.

Cole told police that while he was in a vehicle traveling to Medaryville with everyone earlier in the evening, Jessica Sturgell and Schroeder allegedly threatened to slit his throat. Cole said that he had been stabbed several times before they arrived in Medaryville. According to Schroeder, he had punched Cole several times.

Cole told police that they tried to steal a bag from him and when police searched one of the bags in the vehicle, they found items used in the manufacture of methamphetamine. Nobody claimed possession of the bag.

Clifford Cole, of North Judson, was arrested on preliminary charges of Possession of Precursors, Possession of Methamphetamine and Battery with a Deadly Weapon. Jessica Sturgell, of Francesville, was arrested on preliminary charges of Possession of Precursors, Possession of Methamphetamine and Conspiracy to Commit Battery. Edward Schroeder, of San Pierre, was arrested on preliminary charges of Possession of Precursors, Possession of Methamphetamine and Battery with a Deadly Weapon.

While at the Pulaski County Jail, officers, found controlled substances in Curtis Luedtke’s prosthetic leg. Luedtke, of North Judson, was arrested on preliminary charges of Possession of a Schedule II Drug, Possession of Precursors, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Conspiracy to Commit Battery.

This case has been forwarded to the Pulaski County Prosecutor for further review.
