The Annual Easter Egg Hunt for residents of Hamlet is planned for Saturday in the town park. At 1:00 p.m., children will scramble to pick up as many eggs as they can in the hopes of winning one of four grand prizes.
Four age groups have been set up for the event: ages two and under, ages three to five, ages six to eight, and ages nine and up. The eggs for the hunt were provided by the Park Department at no cost.
The Hamlet Fire Department is also holding an event this month: a pancake breakfast is planned for the morning of April 15th. With a cost of $6.00 for adults and $3.00 for children, attendees can feast on sausage, pancakes, and eggs, and wash it down with their choice of milk, juice, or coffee. The food will start rolling out at 7:00 a.m. and will last until noon, with all proceeds going to help fund equipment for the fire department.
The town-wide garage sale in Hamlet is also scheduled for May 18th and 19th, and WKVI will have more information on that event as the day nears.
