A Prayer Breakfast was held yesterday morning at the Knox Community Center in observation of the National Day of Prayer.
The Master of Ceremonies was Pastor Ed Hasnerl of the Eagle Creek Church and the guest speaker was Dr. Ron May, President of Ancilla College. May summed up the message he gave to the crowd.
“Praying for our nation is what I discussed and that we will trust in God and we will use God to guide us in all that we do as citizens of this country so we can ultimately get our nation going in the direction that it needs to go,” said May.
May talked about leadership during his presentation and he explains how leadership plays a role in decisions.
“I think it’s people who do and make decisions – that consider decisions – using the guidance that God has given us. We need to work together. We need to try and work toward a common goal and we keep moving in the same direction. Right now it seems to me that we’re pretty divided as a nation in many ways. I just think that somehow our leaders need to start working together to find solutions to the problems that we confront,” May said.
The breakfast was coordinated by the Prayer Day Breakfast Committee and was catered by Christo’s in Knox.
