David Schoeff Is New Culver Town Manager

The town of Culver has a new town manager. David Schoeff comes to Culver after serving as the director of engineering for the city of Huntington for the past 12 years, and he is also currently finishing his degree in Business Administration.

Schoeff says he already has goals in mind for the town.

“One of my goals is attempting to find ways to help fund projects, and to help Culver grow and prosper,” he said.

Schoeff said that he is impressed with what Culver has in terms of shops and restaurants, as well as the Culver Academy, but he said there is still room for growth.

“I think they have a lot of things here, but I think that everybody should keep their eyes open and be willing to grow, especially economically,” Schoeff remarked.

Schoeff said that in his short time in Culver he feels the residents want his primary focus to be on the commercial establishments and maintaining the resort feel, though Schoeff says he feels it would be beneficial to bring more industry to the town.

“It would be nice, in my opinion, to bring a little more industry to Culver or just outside of town. I can’t say that I’m looking toward that at this time, but I think personally there’s absolutely some room for improvement there,” he noted.

Schoeff is happily married and the father of two teenaged sons.
