The Marshall County Commissioners will hold a public hearing on the proposed golf cart ordinance during their regular meeting this morning at 10 a.m. ET.
The first reading of the golf cart ordinance was passed in early June which includes the restriction of golf carts to certain areas of the county.
The ordinance only allows golf carts on roads around the county’s lakes. The ordinance also allows golf cart use around Culver Military Academy, although residents are reminded that golf carts cannot be used on a state highway at any time. There is opposition of this ordinance as it excludes all other roads as allowable for golf carts.
The commissioners will also hold a public hearing at 9:30 a.m. ET on the Teegarden street vacation.
Other items will be discussed this morning including emergency protection measures.
