The Culver Academies are proud to present Plena Libri in concert at the Eppley Auditorium of the academies.
The four-time Grammy Award-winning group brings to life the music of Puerto Rico with a swinging rhythm section, horns, vocals, and dance. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium at 1300 Academy Road, with tickets available for $20. For ticket information, call (574) 842-7058.
Twelve virtuoso musicians comprise Plena Libre, taking the group through 15 years of worldwide performances throughout 15 countries and the composition of 13 albums.
The appearance of the group is the first of five concerts sponsored by the Huffington Concert Series through 2012 and 2013, and tickets are available to the general public. All performances will take place at Eppley Auditorium.
The series will also include The Capital Steps, a Washington-based troupe of political comedians, on Sept. 27; Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol,” performed by the Nebraska Theatre Caravan on Dec. 11; The Blues Brothers Revue on Feb. 4; and The Hubbard Street II Dance Company of Chicago on March 12.
