The Starke County Food Pantry is in desperate need of donations.
Community Services of Starke County Director Joan Haugh said they have not been able to order from the Northern Indiana Food Bank for two months and the shelves are bare.
Items needed include peanut butter, jelly, vegetables, fruits, canned items, pancake mixes, soups, and a variety of other necessity items.
Haugh was quick to note that the pantry is not closing, contrary to a rumor that has been going around. She said the pantry is just very low on donations.
