Absentee voting numbers are up in both Starke and Pulaski Counties.
Starke County Clerk Evelyn Skronski reports almost 800 absentee ballots have been cast so far with walk-in voters and mail-in ballots. She indicated that this is a significant amount of ballots cast so far, especially with three weeks to go until the General Election on Nov. 6.
Pulaski County Clerk Tasha Foerg says almost 300 walk-in and mail-in ballots have been cast which is higher than in past years at this time.
Absentee balloting continues this week in both Starke and Pulaski Counties with the same schedule next week. Starke County voters may cast an absentee in the second floor meeting room in the Starke County Courthouse Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to noon and from 1 to 4 p.m. CT. Absentee voting will also be available on two Saturdays: Oct. 27 and Nov. 3, from 8 a.m. to noon and from 1 to 4 p.m. The last available time to vote absentee will be Monday, Nov. 5 from 8 a.m. to noon.
In-office absentee voting in Pulaski County is available Monday through Friday from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 12:30–3:30 p.m. ET in the Pulaski County Courthouse. One Saturday has been scheduled for in-office absentee voting: Nov. 3 from 8 a.m. to noon.
Make sure that you have a valid Photo I.D. with you when you go to vote absentee and when you go to the polls on Election Day.
