A South Bend man was arrested in Pulaski County early Sunday after police found him to be driving under the influence.
Pulaski County police got a call of someone spotlighting in the area of County Roads 800 South and 600 West. A reserve deputy pursued the vehicle and when the vehicle stopped at a residence, several occupants fled on foot into a wooded area.
The driver left the scene in the vehicle. Officers attempted to catch up to the vehicle but lost sight of it.
After a short time, another vehicle passed the officer parked alongside County Road 550 South. The vehicle was weaving within the eastbound lane and eventually turned into a driveway. The vehicle then left and continued down the road and continued to sway back and forth on the road. A traffic stop was conducted the police officer who conducted several sobriety tests in which the driver,
Michael Rosplock, failed.
Rosplock was arrested on a preliminary charge of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated. The three other passengers in the vehicle were released at the scene.
