A Knox man has been arrested on Burglary and Theft charges after an investigation by the Knox City Police Department.
Kyle Bobb, 18, is being held in Starke County Jail on suspicion that he broke into a residence of a deceased woman and stole items from the home.
In November, it was reported to Knox City Police that a break-in had occurred at a residence on Potter Street. The suspect had used a brick to break a window on the north side of the home to gain entry. The family told police that a box containing silverware and several jewelry boxes were taken from the residence.
When police arrived on scene, they found that the front door was partially open and a brick was seen lying in front of the window. Officers found multiple dresser drawers open in the bedroom, living room and dining room. A medicine cabinet door was also found open.
Police questioned Kyle Bobb last week about the incident after receiving information that he might have been involved in the incident. Bobb allegedly admitted that he was involved in the burglary and some of the stolen items were at his home. Police retrieved the items and filed preliminary charges of Burglary and Theft against Bobb. He is being held in the Starke County Jail under a $50,000 Starke Circuit Court surety bond.
