Eastern Pulaski School Superintendent Dr. Robert Klitzman signed a Memorandum of Understanding Monday night that pertains to the board’s search for a new superintendent.
Klitzman stated that it takes time to search for a new superintendent and there are certain processes that need to be followed. The board is taking their time to find the right candidate for the school corporation.
“The Memorandum of Understanding indicates that I will stay in here as superintendent through July 31,” explained Klitzman. “If that timeline needs to be altered by either party, they can give written notice and it can be done. That gives them plenty of extra time to get the job done as it should. I have every confidence that it will take place prior to July 31.”
The board is currently interviewing candidates for the job of superintendent and expect to have one in place by the end of July.
