A Plymouth woman was arrested on Friday after an investigation into battery and neglect incidents.
On May 21, Plymouth Police Department officers gathered information from the Department of Child Services that a seven-year-old child received burns at a residence on Alexander Street in Plymouth. The child had been living with her grandmother, Margo Wallace, at the time of the incident.
Upon further investigation, police learned that the burns had taken place in the bathtub at Wallace’s residence on March 30. The child had suffered second degree burns on her feet and ankles.
A warrant was issued for Wallace’s arrest and she was taken into custody on Friday on preliminary charges of Neglect of a Dependant as a Class C Felony and Battery as a Class D Felony. She was booked into the Marshall County Jail and her bond was set at $3,000 cash.
